Overview

Data Experts Inc ("we," "us," or "our") built the Texas TaxCalc app ("the App") to help Texas homeowners estimate their annual property taxes. We are committed to your privacy. This policy explains our data practices clearly and completely.

Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information from you. The App works on your device. Home values, locations, exemptions, and calculations you enter or generate are stored only in the App's local storage on your device (your calculation history) and are never transmitted to us.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information.
• We do not require registration or login to use the App.
• We do not track your location. A county or district you select is used only to calculate your estimate.
• We do not collect usage analytics or track how you use the App.
• We do not sell, share, or transfer any of your data to third parties.

Tax Rate Data

The App includes published Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts tax rate tables built into the App. These are used entirely offline to calculate your estimate. No network requests are made to look up rates.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays ads served by Google AdMob. Google's advertising SDK may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), IP address, and other usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy & Terms, which you can review at policies.google.com/privacy. This data is used to deliver and measure ads and is governed by Google's policies, not by Data Experts Inc. Purchasing the Ad Free upgrade removes ads from the App.

In-App Purchases

The App offers an optional Ad Free upgrade purchased through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Payment processing is handled entirely by Google or Apple; we do not receive or store your payment card details.

Important Disclaimer

Texas TaxCalc is not affiliated with any U.S. government agency. All calculations are estimates based on published tax rate tables and are provided for personal planning purposes only. Always verify your actual property tax amount with your county appraisal district or tax office.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children and does not require any personal information to use. Advertisements served by Google AdMob are subject to Google's ad policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy as the App evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
